Our Mission
The ARK Fostercare Program is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill rescue dedicated to providing foster care for dogs and cats in need — including strays, shelter animals, and pets from “free to a good home” situations.
We work to raise awareness about the risks of giving animals away for free, and we support our community through education, outreach, and direct assistance. Our mission includes promoting responsible pet ownership, preventing unwanted litters through spay/neuter advocacy, and ensuring every animal we help gets a second chance at a safe, loving home.
The Adoption Process
Adopting a pet is a meaningful way to change a life – both theirs and yours.
At ARK Fostercare, our goal is to place every animal in a loving, lifelong home. To ensure the best match for both the pet and the adopter, we follow a careful screening and approval process.
What’s Required:
-
A completed adoption application
-
A reasonable adoption fee (which covers vaccinations, spay/neuter, and a heartworm test)
-
Information about your current and past pets
-
A vet reference
-
Details about your home and living situation
Out-of-State Adoptions
We do accept out-of-state adopters! In addition to the standard requirements, you’ll need to:
-
Submit photos of your home (inside and outside)
-
Provide a written letter about why you want to adopt
-
Arrange for safe and approved travel for your new pet
Each application is reviewed by our adoption committee, which considers the individual needs of each foster animal when making placement decisions.
Thank you for choosing to adopt – and for giving a rescue animal the second chance they deserve.
